1431/2010 Intensive Arabic Immersion Program Print E-mail


Organized in cooperation with Cordoba Unversity and Manhattanville College Departments of World Religions & African Studies

June 23- July 28, 2010
(Dates may vary 1-3 days based on final travel arrangements)


  1. Complete application: Send in with résumé and two references & application fee ($10.00) DEADLINE MARCH 10th, 2010- Applications received after deadline will be charged $2800 IF SPACE IS AVAILABLE
  2. Application approval (or denial): Upon approval, return signed letter of acceptance, pay $3000 in order to hold your place (Deferred payment -$1000 deposit, balance due ASAP but no later than April 1, 2010).
  3. Submit documentation: Passport copy, 2 passport pictures and CEU / college credit approval (if applicable) to complete your file.
  4. Take oral Arabic assessment: via phone (TBD).
  5. Meet at airport: 4 hours prior to departure.


Before March 10th – All monies will be returned minus $50 withdrawal fee and any applicable airline cancellation penalty.

After March 10th and before June 1st - All monies will be returned minus $200 late withdrawal fee and any applicable airline cancellation penalty.

After June 1st - NO REFUND

Program Details

  • $3000 fee includes roundtrip airfare from New York City, ground transportation in Cairo, lodging and tuition waiver.
  • Classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels.
  • Classes meet five days a week, six hours per day with extensive homework and rote memorization.
  • CEUs and college credit available for additional fees.
